Goals
Short Term:
- Develop and implement:
- Team organization and operating guidelines.
- Team member identification program.
- Criteria for building/site selection (historical criteria).
- Property identification and location chart.
- Prepare form for properties checked and found not historically significant.
- Prepare test sample of property photos and Texas Historical Commission (THC) forms.
- Review test samples with THC representative.
- Divide city into designated areas -- proceed with survey.
- Determine how many buildings/sites can normally be surveyed each week. Set target date for completing each designated area.
Long Term:
- Complete a documented historic resource survey of all applicable properties in and around the City of Blanco following the guidelines set forth in instructions provided by the THC.
- Develop a video documentary of the City of Blanco.
- Review and update this guide during the first quarter of the year.
- Establish and maintain current, permanent file of historic properties in the area.
